Compositions Model
«abstract» Composition entities are used to describe the lowest level physical building blocks of a piece of equipment contained within a «abstract» Component. By referencing a specific «abstract» Composition entity, further clarification and meaning to data associated with a specific «abstract» Component can be achieved.
Both «abstract» Component and «abstract» Composition entities are lower levelnested element that is below a higher level element. entities representing the sub-parts of the parent «abstract» Component. However, there are distinct differences between «abstract» Component and «abstract» Composition type entities.
«abstract» Component entities may be further defined with lower levelnested element that is below a higher level element. «abstract» Component entities and may have associated DataItemsobservable observed by a Component that may make Observations.
«abstract» Composition entities represent the lowest level physical part of a piece of equipment. They MUST NOT be further defined with lower levelnested element that is below a higher level element. «abstract» Component entities and they MUST NOT have DataItemsobservable observed by a Component that may make Observations directly associated with them. They do provide additional information that can be used to enhance the specificity of DataItemsobservable observed by a Component that may make Observations associated with the parent «abstract» Component.
