Definition: metadatadata that provides information about other data. that defines both the entities that represent the physical and logical parts and sub-parts of each piece of equipment, the relationships between those parts and sub-parts, and the definitions of the DataItemsobservable observed by a Component that may make Observations associated with that piece of equipment.
